Lukaku answers critics as Napoli come from behind to thump Udinese
Napoli proved they can score goals without Osimhen, as they scored three in the second half to seal a come-back victory against Udinese.
Osimhen's injury
As Pulse Sports reported, the Lagos-born striker was among the goals when Galatasaray beat Sivasspor to maintain their healthy lead at the top of the Super Lig standings.
He, however, had to be substituted in the 74th minute due to injury. After the match, Galatasaray released a statement, revealing that the 25-year-old had moderate strain and bleeding in the right posterior upper muscle group.
A few days ago, Galatasaray's head coach, Okan Buruk, provided an update on the situation, stating that they expected to miss the Nigerian for two weeks, which effectively ruled him out for three games.
What Osimhen said
Having missed the Europa League draw against Malmo, Osimhen was expected to miss further matches against Trabzonspor and Kayserispor.
However, in a recent media appearance, the Nigerian confirmed he was fit and suggested that he could feature against Trabzonspor tomorrow.
"I think I'm good, but I don't know,” he told Beyaz TV’s reporter, who asked about his availability for the Sunday clash.
While he is not certain of his participation, the Nigerian is confident they will put on an impressive showing. He called on the fans to continue their support as they charge towards defending their Super Lig title. "It will be a difficult match, but we are ready to give everything for the victory."
“They should continue to support us. We are grateful for the support they have given us so far. We are ready to give everything to win this season."
