Chelsea make Sancho decision

Despite recent speculation, the Blues intend to proceed with the option to buy the winger from Manchester United.

Recent reports suggested Chelsea might opt to pay a penalty fee instead. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the West London club want to keep Sancho.

As per Romano, the Blues remain committed to signing the Englishman permanently, provided they can agree on a long-term contract.

“It's true that Chelsea can pay a fee to Manchester United and not proceed with the obligation to buy for Jadon Sancho,” said Romano on his YouTube channel.

"It's the reality, but it's not the intention. From day one Chelsea signed Sancho from Man Utd on loan with an obligation to buy because they want to keep Sancho and Sancho wants to be at Chelsea.

"So that's the idea and that's the view and obviously Man Utd don't want Sancho back. That's the clear indication on Jadon Sancho.”

Sancho's improved playing time has been influenced by injuries and suspensions to other attackers, with Noni Madueke in the wars and Mykhailo Mudryk facing a long-term ban

With the arrival of Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez in the summer, his place in the squad could be questioned.
