Henry, Carragher and Richards pick Salah as Ballon d’Or frontrunner
Henry, Carragher and Richards all believe that Salah's performances this season have been outstanding and that he deserves to be recognised as the best player in the world.
They also believe that Liverpool's strong performances in the Premier League and Champions League will boost Salah's chances of winning the award.
“I’m with Jamie, if he carries on like that. If he carries on like that,” Henry said on CBS Sports’ coverage of the Champions League on Tuesday night. “It depends on what they win.”
Micha Richards added: “He [Salah] is my mate but maybe… yeah probably Salah. [Vinicius could win] Just because of… [last year]. Vini or Salah.”
Salah faces competition from Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior. However, the Liverpool forward is currently the favourite to win the Ballon d'Or, which will be presented in December.

This has led to speculation that he could leave the club in the summer, with Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal reportedly interested in signing him.
“I would like to have Salah at Al-Hilal, he has a way of playing that fits the team," said Al-Hilal boss Jorge Jesus recently.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has insisted that he wants Salah to stay at the club; however, the Egyptian's future remains uncertain and leaving would be a major blow for Liverpool.
What next for Salah?
Record-chasing Salah is expected to feature for Liverpool in Wednesday’s Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park, as the Reds aim to move nine points clear of Arsenal atop the Premier League table.
