FOOTBALL FKF Cup: Explosive quarterfinal pairings
The 2023 FKF Cup Last 8 will be played on the weekend of 28 and 29 April 2023.
As passionate as they always are while attending matches, Ingwe fans engaged in moving songs and dances in support of their team and celebration of the win.
After the game, head coach Patrick Aussems hailed his players’ maturity but insinuated there was bias in how the game was managed.
"We started this cup game 11v11, then 10v11, and finally 10v12 [guess who was the 12th guy] but my players, with discipline and maturity, made the job," tweeted the coach.
Meanwhile, as the Ingwe passionate fans celebrate a positive outcome in the cup, the local giants have also been rather impressive in the FKF Premier League.
Despite working with a limited squad, Aussems has managed to stabilize the boat and are now third with 38 points from 21 games.
They have not been able to strengthen the squad by signing new players or registering some from their junior side because they are under a FIFA ban.
However, they have climbed the table to the third position, just below Tusker, who are second with 39 points from 20 matches.
