Allan Damba • 08:31 - 30.12.2023

His return comes as great news at a time when young goalkeeper Jack Komakech is out with an injury that kept him out of their 3-2 loss to BUL FC.

Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC will have custodian Alfred Macumu Mudekereza back in the squad ahead of their match with Express FC.

The Congolese-born goalkeeper has been out for over three months with a broken finger, but the club has confirmed he'll be available for selection for Express' game.

His return comes as great news at a time when young goalkeeper Jack Komakech is out with an injury that kept him out of their 3-2 loss to BUL FC.

The club has confirmed he's still unavailable headed into the Wankulukuku bout with the Red Eagles.

"Youngster Jack Komakech is still out nursing an injury due to a twisted ankle he picked up in training two weeks ago."

Meanwhile, winger Abdu Lumala and left-back Richard Matovu won't be available for contention on enemy territory.

"Abdu Lumala is still out due to a groin problem but is back training on the sidelines," revealed the club.

"Richard Matovu pulled out of this week’s training with a thigh problem and won’t be available for today’s match."

Vipers need a lifeline after a difficult week that had them suffer their first home defeat in two years (3-2 to BUL), which came with the sacking of head coach Leo Neiva.
