According to a letter dated Tuesday, 11th July, that Pulse Sports saw, Vipers claim that Isabirye has gone absent without leave for six days.

Uganda Premier League champion Vipers Sports Club has summoned coach Alex Isabirye to a disciplinary hearing for disciplinary action on Thursday this week.

According to the letter dated Tuesday, 11th July, Pulse Sports saw, Vipers claim that Isabirye has gone absent without leave.

Several reports have indicated that the coach was not happy with the proceedings at the club and decided to step aside.

“You have consistently and without authority from your employer, absconded from your work and duties as the Head Coach since 05/07/2023 to date,” the letter reads in part.

"So," the letter demands, “be at this moment informed that in line with the applicable labour laws, you are invited for a disciplinary hearing on Thursday 14th July 2023 at St. Mary's" Stadium - Kitende Executive Lounge, 10:00 AM. 

Disciplinary

The club's media officer Kenneth Muwanga could neither confirm nor deny the letter but noted that the coach had been attending training before being involved in an alleged accident on Sunday morning.

"I don't know about the letter, but you can confirm with the person who shared it with you because if the letter was addressed to a particular individual, then I am not aware yet," Muwanga remarked.

The coach did not answer our calls to confirm whether he has received the letter or not.
