The Venoms have started negotiations with on-form Young Africans striker Fiston Kalala Mayele to lure him to Kitende ahead of next season.
Four-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have started preparing for the new season, specifically the CAF Competitions, if they win the league or Uganda Cup.
Pulse Sports can exclusively reveal that the Venoms have started negotiations with on-form Young Africans striker Fiston Kalala Mayele to lure him to Kitende ahead of next season.
One of the sources involved in the negotiations that preferred anonymity told this reporter that Vipers had already started the talks, engaging the player’s agent and Young Africans.
“Yes, Vipers have indeed made their intentions known to sign Fiston Mayele through his agent and Young Africans,” the source intimated.
“They have even tabled their beginning offer, which is in the region of between USD 50,000 and USD 100,000 with discussions ongoing.”
“They (Vipers) want to have a stronger squad when they play again in the CAF Competitions, specifically if they win the league or Uganda Cup,” the source added.
It must be noted that Vipers SC became only the second Ugandan club to play in the group stages of the CAF Champions League after KCCA FC in 2018.
