Disan Galiwango joined Vipers in July 2020 on a four-year contract that was set to end in 2024.

Defender Dissan Galiwango has decided to leave Vipers Sports Club after struggling for playing time at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Galiwango joined the club under controversial circumstances in July 2020 and signed a four-year deal but has announced his departure with a season remaining.

Galiwango announced the development through an emotional message that was followed by touching responses from his teammates.

“With a heavy heart,” Galiwango tweeted, “I announce my departure from Vipers FC and would like to express my gratitude to the team and fans.

"It has been a great stay filled with unending support, skills growth, strong bonds and many achievements. Thank you for everything,” he signed out.

The left-back-cum-winger has struggled to impress at Kitende this season, managing only 406 minutes in the league.

He featured full-time in only three games against UPDF, Wakiso Giants and Maroons in the first leg.

Galiwango was also sparingly used from the bench, coming as a sub in only six games, as the team preferred Isa Mubiru in his place.

Galiwango has won two StarTimes Uganda Premier League titles and two Stanbic Uganda Cup titles with Vipers.
