Former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has clinched the presidency of Porto in a stunning landslide election victory.
The 46-year-old, who hasn't managed a club since his tenure with Marseille in February 2021, secured a triumphant return to his former club, Porto, after claiming a resounding 80.3 per cent of the vote.
This victory unseated the incumbent, Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, who had held the position for an impressive 42 years.

Villas-Boas on His Election Triumph
Sporting a Porto shirt and scarf, Villas-Boas led his supporters in chants of 'Porto' outside his campaign headquarters, exclaiming, "Porto is free again."
He expressed his gratitude and aspirations, stating, "I am very happy, proud and honoured by this opportunity that you give me, as reported by the Daily Mail.
“I hope to meet the demands of all Porto fans, which is to win, win titles and sustain our club for the future, which is the most important thing."
He continued, emphasizing the club's future direction, "This is the FC Porto that we all want and need: strong, reinvigorated, with race and where the members dictated its change today and face the challenges that lie ahead.
“We will need to maintain our courage to fight on and off the pitch to regain the place that is ours by destiny."
Acknowledging his predecessor, Villas-Boas thanked Pinto da Costa for his contributions to the club, stating that Porto would "always be his home."
Villas-Boas, the youngest manager to win a European trophy at just 33, led Porto to victory in the Europa League in 2011, along with a domestic Treble.
Despite subsequent managerial stints at Chelsea, Tottenham, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Shanghai SIPG, and Marseille, Villas-Boas has now returned to his roots at Porto.
