Defender and skipper Gift Fred and Charles Bbale scored the goals in the second half of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League tie played at the Military Barracks in Bombo to keep their title hopes alive.
By the look of things, SC Villa means business this season; the record league winners were 2-0 winners away against UPDF FC on Tuesday afternoon.
Defender and skipper Gift Fred and Charles Bbale scored the goals in the second half of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League tie played at the Military Barracks in Bombo to keep their title hopes alive.
The first half had few talking points save for UPDF FC forward Apollo Ahimbisibwe’s header, which glanced over the bar when he was at close range.
After restarting, the Joogos engaged another gear, with captain Gift Fred leading by example when he headed home a poor clearance in the box and gave the visitors the lead in the 50th minute.
The record league champions then sealed it through their on-form striker Charles Bbale in the 82nd minute after a great run by Jonathan Kakande on the wing.
