The debutants are looking for their next victim after an unbeaten run in the group stage in Algeria.
Madagascar romped into the quarter-finals of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2022 following a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Sudan on Monday night.
At no point throughout the match were The Barea in trouble as they cruised past the hapless Sudanese side to finish top of Group C.
A blistering first-half display saw Madagascar tear Sudan apart with all the goals coming in the opening 33 minutes of the game.
The game in brief
The debutants took the lead as early as the 13th minute when Tokinantenaina Randriatsiferana breezed into the box to put them 1-0 ahead.
After the opener, Sudan made things a bit difficult for Madagascar but their resistance was broken again on the hour mark when Solomampionona Razafindranaivo doubled their advantage with a stunning second goal.
Three minutes later, 2-0 became 3-0 as Lalaina Rafanomezantsoa sealed the game with the easiest of the goals following a superb counter attacking move.
Sudan did try to pull one goal back but couldn't find a way behind the well-drilled the Barea defense that has conceded just once i the competition.
In the end, it was Madagascar who walked away with their third consecutive win at the tournament in Algeria.
What the result means
Following their third consecutive win, Madagascar completed the group stage with a 100% record which saw them finish top of Group C with nine points.
The debutants finished ahead of their more illustrious counterparts, the Black Galaxies of Ghana, who joined them in the knockout stage with six points.
