Aaron Ramsdale was awarded for his brilliant fingertip save to deny Mohammed Salah’s trademark goal to earn a draw for Arsenal in the four-goal thriller against Liverpool.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has won the English Premier League Castrol Save of the Month of April for his heroic save against Liverpool on April 9th.

Ramsdale was awarded for his brilliant fingertip save to deny Mohammed Salah’s trademark goal to earn a draw for Arsenal in the four-goal thriller.

The save is the second consecutive award for the English goalkeeper after winning in March for his save against Bournemouth.

“You always want to win individual trophies for actions in games, and it's really good we have this award now for the keepers to recognise top-class saves," Ramsdale told Arsenal portal.

Motivation

The 21-year-old keeper said that he will save such moments for reference in future when he hits a rough patch.

"These saves are good to have for a compilation video so that when you have a dip in form or confidence, you'll be able to bring out a video of your saves from the previous season to try and remember that it's just a little blip rather than you're actually a bad keeper,” he added.

This comes at a time the club is climaxing talks to improve its terms with a new contract.
