Reports suggest the Nigerian striker is keen on reuniting with Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ sporting director, with the Napoli forward still keen on leaving the Partenopei.
Osimhen eyes Turin reunion
According to Italian publishers Il Mattino, Osimhen is eager to join Juventus, a move that would see him team up again with Giuntoli, the man who orchestrated his transfer from Lille to Napoli for €75 million in 2020.
Currently on loan at Galatasaray, Osimhen has been in demand, with previous talks involving Chelsea, PSG, and Al-Ahli falling through.
Juventus, however, reportedly have the option to activate a €75 million clause to sign him at the end of the season.
The Bianconeri’s interest stems not only from Giuntoli's familiarity with the player but also Osimhen's stellar record as the top scorer in Serie A during the 2022-23 campaign.
Juventus face competition from foreign clubs for Osimhen
While Juventus may seem a natural fit, they face competition from foreign clubs.
Other sources claim the €75 million clause applies only to clubs outside Serie A, while foreign clubs could also activate a separate €90 million release clause in the January window.
Despite this, Galatasaray remain optimistic about retaining the striker until the end of the season with the Nigerian leading their scoring charts this season.
However, with Osimhen’s openness to a move to Turin and his strong ties with Giuntoli, Juventus could emerge as a leading contender for his signature next summer.
