Victor Osimhen to Chelsea could be reignited in the January Transfer window according to one of the club's icons.
Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda is urging his old club to make another move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window.
Chelsea were close to signing Osimhen in the summer but ultimately couldn't agree on terms after a dramatic deadline day. Subsequently, the Nigerian striker joined Turkish champions Galatasaray on loan from Napoli.
However, Malouda believes Chelsea should give it another shot.
"We almost signed Victor Osimhen in the summer, and he is the type of player that would add extra quality to this Chelsea team," Malouda told Coin Poker.
“If there is an opportunity to bring him in in January, the club must look at it.
"From what I’ve read, he will cost less than the numbers quoted in the summer – the fee is reportedly in the region of £70m.”
There's no doubt that Osimhen will be an excellent addition to any side, especially a team like Chelsea.
The striker himself is reportedly very interested in a move to Stamford Bridge and if both parties can agree on terms, this could be a season-defining transfer.
