Chelsea have been the most expensive team ever assembled in the history of football.

Chelsea have achieved an unparalleled feat in football history, assembling the most expensive team ever seen in the sport.

According to a recent analysis by the CIES Football Observatory, the Enzo Maresca-led squad, including both permanent and loan acquisitions, cost an astonishing €1.26 billion.

This staggering sum surpasses all previous records and highlights Chelsea's relentless ambition under owners BlueCo. consortium.

However, despite their record-breaking expenditure, the West London giants were unable to secure a deal for Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, who has now joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli.

Chelsea missed out on Osimhen’s signature on deadline day of the summer transfer window as the Blues were reportedly adamant to match the 25-year-old’s wage demands.

Even so, Chelsea's inability to finalize the transfer of Osimhen, who had been a target due to his world class attacking prowess, has not dampened their record-setting achievement.
