The Nigerian striker has been linked with a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
Roberto Calenda, the agent of Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, has shut down rumours linking his client with a move away from Napoli this month or in the summer.
Europe's top clubs interested in Osimhen
Osimhen is attracting interest from Europe’s top clubs following his impressive performances for Napoli this season. Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020 for a club-record fee of €75.00m.
While he did show his qualities in his first year, Osimhen only began to justify the price tag last season. The 24-year-old has now reached an unprecedented level this year and is on course to have his best individual year.
Osimhen has been arguably the best player for Napoli this season, with his goals firing Luciano Spalletti’s men to the top of the Serie A table.
Osimhen happy at Napoli- Calenda
The Super Eagles star has scored 12 goals and recorded three assists in 14 league games for the Neapolitans this season, the highest in Italy’s top flight.
However, Osimhen’s impressive numbers have come at a cost for Napoli, as the Nigerian is being linked with a move away from the club. Europe’s top clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the striker’s future in Naples.
But despite the interest in his services, Osimhen’s agent Calenda insists his client is only focused on winning titles with Napoli and bringing joy to the people of Naples.
"Victor is fine, happy and perfectly integrated with the people. At the stadium he is the first to party, to dance with the fans. His goal is to win with this team and give a dream to a city he loves. There is nothing else than this,” Calenda told Corriere dello Sport as per Tutto Napoli.
Osimhen still has two years left on his contract at Napoli since he joined the club from Lille. The 24-year-old will hope to continue his impressive scoring streak when Napoli return to action on Tuesday night against Coppa Italia.
