Victor Moses has been praised by Super Eagles legend Jay Jay Okocha
Nigerian winger Victor Moses has been recognised as a great player by fellow ex-international Jay Jay Okocha.
Okocha backed Moses to recover quickly from an Achilles tendon injury to help his Russian club Spartak Moscow in their ambition to win the league this season.
Both former Super Eagles players enjoyed success while representing Nigeria and although Okocha is long retired, Moses' career still continues at club level.
Okocha hails Victor Moses
Speaking to Russian outlet Sport24, Okocha made sure to give Moses a glowing recommendation, reminding everyone that the 32-year-old played at the highest level.
"Victor is a great football player who played at a high level at Chelsea and is now showing his worth at Spartak," Okocha said.
"It is a pity that he has an injury, but I want to wish him only the very best," Okocha continued to wax lyrical about his compatriot.
The legend ended on a strong note, "I am sure that when Moses recovers from the injury and returns to the squad, he will help Spartak become the champion."
Moses is making good progress in his recovery from the injury that required surgery and was named in Spartak Moscow's squad for a training camp in Abu Dhabi ahead of the resumption of the Russia Premier League.
The Kaduna-born winger played 38 games for Nigeria between 2012 and 2018 when he retired from international football and the 2013 AFCON title was the highlight of his Super Eagles career.
