The Bayer Leverkusen forward made a middle finger gesture during last Saturday's Supercup clash between Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart.
Stuttgart reported the gesture following the match, and the referee's reply implied that he was not present when it happened.
However, the DFB Control Committee still decided to launch an investigation on the issue and have made a decision.

The German Football Association (DFB) has taken issue with Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface after his celebration of Bayer Leverkusen's Super Cup victory, which was deemed to be insulting.
However, after much investigation, the governing body have released a statement regarding the issue.
According to the official website of the German Football Association, Boniface's suspension is limited to the DFB Cup, he can be selected on Friday night when Bayer Leverkusen, the reigning champions, play Borussia Mönchengladbach in their Bundesliga opening.
The Super Eagles player was fined 25,000 euros (about N43.8 million in Nigerian currency) and suspended for one match.
