Beldine Odemba, who also doubles up as Harambee Starlets head coach, has revealed ambitious plans for Police Bullets after sealing their maiden FKF Women's Premier League title.

In an astonishing debut season, Kenya Police Bullets have seized the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) title, spearheaded by their trailblasing head coach, Beldine Odemba.

The triumph came after a resounding 6-2 victory over Zetech Sparks in the penultimate round, solidifying their unassailable lead with 46 points, accumulated through 14 wins and four draws, maintaining an unbeaten streak throughout the season.

The commanding win positioned them beyond the reach of former champions and closest contenders, Vihiga Queens, rendering the final match against Bunyore Starlets a formality in terms of title contention. However, Odemba's squad is determined to conclude their campaign with an undefeated record.

The Driving Forces Behind the Triumph

Odemba attributes their success to a blend of critical support systems and unwavering team spirit to Citizen TV. “First of all, the support from the Kenya Police board led by chairman Nyale Munga counted a lot.

“They really gave us the deserved support throughout the season. Our fans have been very supportive too, following the team in each and every match which motivated the girls to the maximum,” she remarked.

The camaraderie within the broader Kenya Police family played a significant role, as Odemba noted, “We are also very grateful to our counterparts the men’s side Kenya Police FC, for always coming to support us.

“The focus now is towards our final match against Bunyore Starlets at Mumboha Grounds over the weekend where we will be officially crowned the champions. We want to finish the league in style.”

Historic Achievement and Future Aspirations

This season's success is particularly momentous as it marks Odemba's distinction as the first female coach to lead a club to a KWPL title.

Under her guidance, the Police have been formidable at home, securing victories in all their matches with an impressive tally of 51 goals, while only conceding 15.

Looking ahead, Odemba has her sights set on the CAF Champions League, with her team earning a spot to compete for the CECAFA region's slot. “I’m happy that we have finally fulfilled our dream to clinch the title and after the Bunyore match, the focus immediately will turn to the Women’s Champions League qualifiers,” she concluded.

A Season to Remember

This season, Kenya Police Bullets have demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, and teamwork. Their success is a testament to the effective leadership of Odemba and the robust support from various quarters.

As they prepare for their final match and the ensuing continental challenge, they do so with the confidence of champions, ready to take on new heights and further etch their names in the annals of football history.
