Muyoti reacts to his side's 0-0 draw with title chasing Tusker.
Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti wants his charges to be more ruthless in the final third in order to win matches. He decried numerous unconverted chances during their midweek stalemate with title challengers Tusker as a point of reference for his side's wastefulness.
Stars put in a spirited performance against the defending Champions and earned a valuable point, which further strengthened their brave fight against relegation, but Muyoti believes the side should have done more.
“It was a very tough point. We defended very well and got a point. We did not create much but could have done better with Mohammed Kapen’s chance. The boys worked very well. Our midfield and defense worked very well but our striker was a little bit low but I think it was a good effort,”

RUGBY Paul Odera: Challenges of being Kenya 15s coach and how Simbas can qualify for 2027 World Cup
Odera's stint at the helm of Kenya XV's Rugby Team was marked with highs and lows.
Muyoti subbed on Levis Okello and James Mazembe in the 60th minute of the game, which gave the Simba wa Nairobi pace on the flanks and stretched the Tusker defence, which pinned them back.
“As we went into the game, our attackers were tiring. I needed to add pace. With Tusker, you have to learn how to keep your defenders at bay. If all balls are coming towards our end, it is adding pressure to our defence.
“They came to the game with instructions to keep Tusker at bay and they did their job though still, we needed that punch for the game. We need to work on that like I said,”

FKFPL Muyoti unfazed by relegation ahead of Kariobangi Sharks duel
Simba wa Nairobi have been a pale shadow of themselves this season.
Stars have picked up good form since their win over Vihiga Bullets three weeks ago, which has given them confidence, beating Kariobangi Sharks and drawing against Kakamega Homeboyz.
“ You are pleased when you see players growing and maturing. We have come a long way. It has been hell but I am happy that the players are learning and we are not repeating the mistakes we used to make.
“We have been able to keep clean sheets but we must work to improve on scoring goals. It is an area we have to work on.”
Stars are 14th in the league standings, having collected 28 points from 28 matches, keeping them six points above the relegation places.
