Xavi isn't happy that his LaLiga boys will face Erik Ten Hag and his Red Devils in the Europa League.
FC Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has reacted angrily to the UEFA Europa League, UEL, draw that pitted Barcelona against Manchester United.
Barcelona and United were drawn to face each other in the Europa League round of 32 during the draw held on Monday afternoon.
Both clubs will go head-to-head in this intriguing encounter after Barca was demoted from the Champions League after finishing third in their group while United came second in their Europa League group.
Barcelona will host the first leg at Camp Nou next year before making the trip to Old Trafford for the second.
Xavi not happy with UEL draw
In his reaction to the draw, Xavi was unhappy and stated that Manchester United was the 'worst ever' draw for Barcelona.
"It is the most difficult opponent once again," the Barcelona boss said.
"But we will look forward to it. They are a historic side, they have grown a lot with Ten Hag, they have great players."
"It's the worst draw we could have got. Once again. No luck," he added.
Frenkie de Jong to face Manchester United
Meanwhile, when Barcelona take on United in the round of 32 clash in the UEL, the Red Devils will face Dutch superstar, Frenkie de Jong.
The Dutchman was a subject of intense speculation from the Premier League as new manager Erik Ten Hag wanted to be reunited with his former midfielder in the summer.
However, the transfer turned out to be a sage in the end despite United agreeing a transfer fee with Barcelona.
The deal eventually fell through with the talented midfielder preferring to stay at Camp Nou to playing in the Europa League.
Frenkie and Barcelona were unable to make it out of their UCL group and will now face the Reds in Europe's second tier competition.
