Starlets eliminated Division One side Kisped Queens in a match played at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Defending champions Ulinzi Starlets will play Kisumu All Starlets in the semifinals of the 2023 FKF Women Cup after 3-0 win over Kisped Queens on Sunday afternoon.

The Soldiers made their intentions clear when they broke the deadlock just seven minutes into the game through Sophia Adhiambo.

Fasila Adhiambo set the influential midfielder Adhiambo who made no mistake as she scored with a tap-in to make it 1-0 for Ulinzi.

It was soon 2-0 to Ulinzi, and this time captain Neddy Atieno was the goalscorer as the playmaker scored with a decent finish after some good work by Mercy Airo.

Kipsed looked dangerous whenever they pushed forward and they came close to scoring through Mollvine Owuor in the 15th minute.

Crafty midfielder Fasila was causing havoc for Kisped's defence as he combined well with Akoth who then hit the woodwork as the visitors survived a scare.

However, Akoth was able to stretch the Soldiers' lead in the 27th minute when she unleashed a rock that found the Kipsed goalkeeper unprepared.

After the restart, Kisped began to claw their way back into the match, and they had a couple of sniffs at goal themselves, including a shot by Desma Nyawade, which went wide on the hour mark.

As the second half wore on, the home side became increasingly frustrated at their inability to penetrate a stubborn Ulinzi defense.

Indeed there was very little work for Starlets goalkeeper Moureen Shimuli to do as her defence held firm.

However, Kipsed continued to attack as Mollvine 's effort missed the target with 15 minutes left on the clock.

Ultimately, Ulinzi Starlets ran out 3-0 winners over Kisped Queens, who were unable to grab a late consolation goal in the closing stages of the match.
