While he currently plays for England, Ugandans will be eager to see if Mukasa could switch allegiances in the future.

English Premier League giants Manchester City are set to sign West Ham United wonder-kid Divine Mukasa.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported that a long-term deal has already been agreed upon between Westham and the European champions as they continue to net down some of the best talents for their academy.

“Manchester City poised to sign talented England U17 midfielder Divine Mukasa from West Ham — here we go, confirmed," Romano tweeted.

“Long-term deal agreed — to be formally sealed in next 48h. City keep going for best talents as their Academy remains a crucial part of the club’s project.”

Mukasa, who is English by birth, was born to Laima Mukasa, an English native and a Ugandan father Sam Mukasa.

Laima Mukasa, a Lead Midwife at Barts Health in England, is a staunch Westham fan and ardent follower.

Meanwhile, Divine Mukasa has featured for the various Under-age football levels for Westham for the past ten years.

He has also been through the ranks of the England national set-up, including the U15s, U16s and U17s.

His father being Ugandan, Mukasa is eligible to feature for the Pearl of Africa, as he is yet to play for England's senior team.

Westham Zone describes the 16-year-old as: "possesses exceptional technique and has a great engine on him for someone so young,"

"Mukasa has all of the raw ingredients needed to go on and become a real star in the game."

While he currently plays for England, Ugandans will be eager to see if Mukasa could switch allegiances in the future.
