Uganda under-18 Women’s National Team acting head coach Ayub Khalifa is confident that his team will be ready for CECAFA U-18 despite starting preparations a bit late.
The CECAFA tournament will take place from June 24th to July 8th.
Khalifa was slotted in as the team's acting coach after being hastily named the Uganda Queen Cranes (U20) on Sunday.

The provisional squad comprising 35 players is dominated by Kawempe Muslim and players who represented the country in the World Cup U-17 qualifiers last year.
The coach named a squad of 35 players who entered the residential camp at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Monday.
Khalifa is aware of the time frame before the games in a fortnight’s time in Nairobi, Kenya but is confident he will have a strong team by then.
“I’m aware that we have begun the preparations a bit late but I have the confidence we shall be able to form a formidable team,” Khalifa said after entering camp.
