The Champions League will kick ff on Tuesday and there is a lot to expect especially with the new format that will be implemented for the first time ever.

This years edition will see the traditional 32 teams increased to 36, where these teams are placed in a single league phase.

All teams will be ranked on one large league table as compared to the old system where teams were placed in eight groups of four teams.

Last season Real Madrid grabbed their 15th title, the most won by any team ever. They beat Dortmund who were playing in their third ever final.

Juventus will open up the new chapter of the Champions League at home against PSV at 7.45pm, while Aston Villa travel to Young boys to start the match at the same time.

AC Milan and Liverpool will battle in Italy, while Bayern will host Dynamo Zagreb at the Allianz Arena in Germany. Real Madrid and Sporting CP will be at home to their opponents Stuttgart and Lille respectively.

Tomorrow, the highlight of the day will be the match between Manchester City and Inter Milan.

Moreover, PSG's new chapter without Mbappe will be monitored as they host Spanish side Girona.

On Thursday, Bayer Leverkusen will be hosted by Feyenoord as they look to start on their unbeaten run once again this time with the hopes of bagging the most prestigious club football trophy.

Another highlight fixture will be Atalanta playing against Arsenal who edged out Tottenham without their midfield maestro Martin Odegaard. Fortunately they will play with Declan Rice who is expected to start this match.
