Saturday's final saw Senegal defeat Gambia to win their first-ever U-20 AFCON title, while Nigeria wrapped up the tournament as the third-best team.
Following the completion of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) have named Nigeria's Flying Eagles as the Fairplay team of the tournament.

We needed to bounce back - Flying Eagles star Sunday
Meanwhile, Flying Eagles forward Jude Sunday after putting up a Man of the Match performance in Friday's 4-0 thrashing of Tunisia, stated the side needed to bounce back after having lost 1-0 to Gambia in the semi-finals.
In the third-place, Sunday scored twice with Ibrahim Muhammad and Ahmed Abdullahi scoring the other goals for Nigeria, in either half of the game.
Speaking in the post-match conference after the game, Jude Sunday said: "We lost the semi-final even though we played better so it was important to win today and we thank god for the victory.
"I'm happy to win the Man of the Match today because we needed to bounce back from the defeat in the last match against The Gambia."
