Africa's representatives for the FIFA U17 World Cup are complete with Nigeria and Congo missing out after painful defeats at the U17 AFCON.
A total of six goals were scored in the final two matches at the knockout stage of the U17 AFCON on Thursday in Algeria.
This represents an average of three goals per game as Nigeria and Congo crashed out of the competition with painful defeats.
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets suffered a shock defeat to Burkina Faso in the last kick off while Congo was no match for Mali in the first game of the day.

The favourites for the title had an easy ride to the semifinals after they thrashed South Africa 5-0 in the quarterfinal.
It’s their second appearance at the FIFA U17 World Cup, with their debut in the 2019 when they crashed out in the round of 16.
The 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, the 19th edition of the tournament, will be hosted by Peru from November 10 to December 2.
