Ola Aina could be set for a move to the Serie A next summer at the end of his Nottingham Forest contract
Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has captured the attention of Italian football giants AC Milan and AS Roma, both of whom are reportedly keen to secure his signature next summer.
The Nottingham Forest full-back could be returning to Serie A on a free transfer, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Roma eager for Aina signing
According to AS Roma Live, the Gialorossi are eyeing Aina as a versatile option for their defence, regardless of whether current head coach Ivan Juric remains with the club.
Aina’s ability to play as both a right-back and left-back has made him a prime candidate for the Italian club, who are eager to bolster their squad without breaking the bank.
Roma see Aina’s experience in Serie A, where he made 113 appearances for Torino, as a valuable addition to their lineup.
AC Milan looking to unite Nigerians
AC Milan are also monitoring Aina’s availability closely, as they may need a full-back replacement for Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi, whose contracts are both set to expire at season's end.
Aina’s defensive abilities and Serie A experience would make him an ideal competitor for Milan's starting role, where he could challenge Emerson Royal.
With Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze and Nigerian-born forward Noah Okafor already at the club, the Rossoneri could add to their green-and-white contingent with Aina’s addition.
