Chelsea are reportedly keen to offload two other defenders with Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell already out of new coach Enzo Maresca's plans.

Chelsea FC manager Enzo Maresca is making headlines with his uncompromising decisions at Stamford Bridge.

Having already shown his willingness to make tough calls by sidelining Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, Maresca is set to continue his overhaul of the squad, with another high-profile player facing the axe.

Chelsea's recent acquisition of Portuguese forwards Pedro Neto and Joao Felix adds to the growing list of new signings at the club.

This influx of talent has led to increased competition for places, and Maresca’s latest decision underscores his determination to reshape the team according to his vision.

Among those facing an uncertain future is defender Axel Disasi. Despite being a regular under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, starting 40 games across all competitions last season, Disasi has not found favor with the new regime. His exclusion from the starting XI and lack of involvement in pre-season due to injury have put his position at Chelsea in jeopardy.

Reports from The Guardian indicate that Disasi, who joined Chelsea only last year, is now facing the possibility of an exit.

Maresca's preferred defensive line-up features Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana as the first-choice centre-backs, with Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile serving as backups. This leaves Disasi as the fifth-choice option, significantly diminishing his role within the squad.

With the transfer deadline looming, Disasi's future is becoming a point of interest for several clubs. Newcastle United, in particular, are monitoring the situation.

They have identified Disasi as a potential alternative should their pursuit of Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi fall through.

In addition to Disasi, Chelsea are also looking to offload Trevoh Chalobah, another defender who finds himself on the fringes of Maresca’s plans.

Both Chalobah and Disasi could be set to leave before the transfer window closes, as Chelsea continue to adjust their squad.

Maresca’s decisive approach highlights his commitment to reshaping Chelsea's squad to better fit his tactical preferences.
