Tusker FC midfielder John Njuguna is reveling in his man-of-the-match performance after coming off the bench to help his team to a win against KCB.

Tusker midfielder John Njuguna has not hidden his delight after producing a man-of-the-match performance during their 2-0 win over KCB in an FKFPL match played in Machakos on Sunday.

Njuguna played a pivotal role in the win, earning himself the man of the match title, ater providing an assist for Chris Erambo's opening goal and ten scoring the second with a remarkable shot.

“It definitely spurs my confidence and motivation. I have been working to improve on my scoring, and slowly, the fruits are bearing. I am glad I got another goal and I want to keep working to get more," said Njuguna.

The team secured their 11th victory of the season on Sunday, triumphing 2-0 against KCB at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Njuguna emphasised the team's strategy of taking one game at a time as the season enters its final stretch, with only 12 rounds of matches remaining.

Reflecting on the team's approach, Njuguna stated, “As a team, this win is behind our backs. We are taking each match at a time, and the target for us is to win all our remaining games. The focus now is on the next match, and we see where that takes us.”

Njuguna also lauded the competitive spirit within the team, highlighting that every player strives to secure a starting role, creating healthy competition. 

 “When someone gets a chance, we all get behind him and support him as we keep working to wait on ours.” 

The midfielder's recognition of the team's collective effort and commitment to continuous improvement underscores their determination as they navigate the remaining matches of the season.
