The club becomes the second Kenyan club to travel to Uganda for pre-season perparations after Kenya Police, who safely landed in Uganda on Friday morning to take part in pre-season preparations.

Former FKFPL champions  Tusker FC are set to travel to Uganda next week for a series of three friendly matches as they ramp up preparations for the new season.

The club announced it will face NEC FC, Kitara FC, and newly promoted Lugazi FC between October 6-10. With a fresh-looking squad, the brewers aim to solidify their form for the upcoming season.

Charles Okere has taken interim charge as head coach following the departure of the experienced Robert Matano. Okere's objective is to get the team in peak condition as they strive to challenge for trophies after finishing second to Gor Mahia last season.

The team will return to Nairobi on August 11th, entering the final phase of their pre-season training regimen.

“We extend our gratitude to our hosts in Uganda for their hospitality and cooperation in organizing these matches. Additionally, we would like to thank our fans and sponsors for their unwavering support as we embark on this crucial phase of our pre-season preparations,” read a statement released by the club.

Meanwhile, FKF Cup holders Kenya Police have arrived in Uganda to participate in a pre-season friendly match against Vipers. This match will culminate the annual Vipers Day, a pre-season celebration that connects the former champions with their fans and showcases their team for the new season.

Kenya Police will benefit significantly from the match, with head coach Salim Babu set to parade most of his new players as he intensifies preparations for next month’s CAF Confederation Cup debut.

Babu’s side qualified for the Confederation Cup after winning the FKF Cup with a post-match penalties victory against KCB.

They are set to play Ethiopia’s Coffee in the first preliminary round, beginning their campaign at home on August 16, before traveling to Addis Ababa for the return fixture a week later.

In the transfer market, Kenya Police have been active, acquiring Jackson Macharia from Posta Rangers, left-back Geoffrey Onyango, and the Tusker FC duo of Daniel Sakari and Eric Zakayo.

Both Tusker FC and Kenya Police are gearing up for an exciting new season, looking to fine-tune their squads and strategies through these crucial pre-season engagements.
