The Brewer who have not played an FKF Premier League match will hope the extended break has served as much needed refreshment, heading into the busy December period.

Tusker FC will be aiming to secure a much-needed victory when they face Nairobi City Stars on Saturday at the Machakos Stadium in the FKF Premier League.

The Brewers, who have not featured in an FKF Premier League match for three weeks, are determined to capitalize on their extended break.

The pause in fixtures has proven beneficial for Tusker, allowing key players to recover from injuries and return to the squad.

Among them is team captain Michael Kibwage, whose absence has been keenly felt.

Kibwage's return brings not only experience but also vital leadership to the team.

Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Charles Okere shared his optimism about the team’s readiness.

"We have had like three weeks to prepare, and as you can see, the boys are eager. They have not played in a long time, but we’ve had a few friendlies to evaluate the team," Okere said via Tata Sport.

"Our captain Kibwage was out injured, but he has shown promise to be back. He is experienced and has been instrumental for Tusker."

Reflecting on Tusker’s previous outing the side fell to 3-2 defeat to leaders KCB, Okere acknowledged the team’s need for improvement.

"We played our last fixture very well against KCB, but we did not win. That’s something we are looking to change," he noted.

City Stars, on the other hand, come into the match on a high, having secured two consecutive victories.

Okere recognized the threat they pose, saying, "City Stars is a very good team. They have had very good results recently, so it will be a very good match."

The Brewers will be hopeful that the team’s refreshed lineup can steer them back to winning ways as they seek to climb the FKF Premier League (FKF PL) standings.
