Arsenal will continue to chase their Manchester United target even beyond the trransfer window.
Arsenal are reportedly not giving up on the signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps despite having a world-record bid rejected.
The Gunners are insistent on completing a move for the 30-year-old shot-stopper who shone for England at the World Cup, saving a crucial penalty in the final that gave her team a way back into the tie, which they failed to take.

Arsenal keen on Earps
According to the Evening Standard, Jonas EidevalL’s side sent a bid worth $125,000 for Earps, a fee that would effectively make the Nottingham-born goalkeeper the most expensive purchase made for a player between the sticks in the women’s game, but it was rejected by Manchester United, who are insistent on keeping their star.
The Gunners are, however, said to be unwilling to give up on the pursuit and will even keep trying beyond the close of the transfer window next week if required.
Earps herself is reportedly keen on the move to London, and with her contract set to expire next summer, the Manchester-based side risks losing her on a free transfer at the end of the season should they reject Arsenal’s advances.
Manchester United have suffered a similar fate in the case of Alessia Russo, whom they rejected a sizable bid for from Arsenal but eventually lost, with the player opting to run down her contract and then joining the one-time Women’s Champions League winners.
