Mason Greenwood is set to be handed a dream Premier League strike partner as Marseille and Arsenal close in on transfer agreement.

Ligue 1 club Marseille are on the verge of securing a deal to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to L'Équipe.

The 25-year-old has agreed to personal terms with the French club and is expected to join as part of a major overhaul of the squad by manager Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi plans to revamp his starting lineup, with Nketiah set to be one of several new recruits. The striker's arrival would fill the void left by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who departed for Al-Qadisah.

Marseille have made significant progress in negotiations with Arsenal, and Nketiah's transfer is nearing completion. If successful, he would be the second North London recruit in quick succession, following the signing of Pierre-Emile Hojberg from Tottenham Hotspur.

Mason Greenwood pens a five-year contract at Marseille from Man United.

The French club are reportedly pursuing other transfer targets, including a potential return for Alexis Sanchez as a free agent and the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Hwang Hee-Chan.

Nketiah's arrival could herald the start of an exciting attacking partnership with Mason Greenwood who completed a move from Manchester United last week.

Marseille would be bolstering their attacking options and shaping up for a promising new season under De Zerbi's leadership.
