The undesired player is persona non grata in West London and is keen to depart imminently.
David Datro Fofana is keen to play senior football and will push for a move away from Chelsea this month.
Datro Fofana’s Chelsea future
According to Football Insider, Sunderland, Everton, and other Championship sides were interested in him during the English transfer window, which has now closed, but a deal could not be agreed for different reasons.
However, clubs in Turkey, Belgium, and other regions are still able to make signings, and the 21-year-old hopes to secure a move away from Cobham.
Currently training away from the first team at Chelsea, Fofana will not be involved in Enzo Maresca's side this season.
He is one of several players demoted from the senior setup, but unlike Raheem Sterling, Trevoh Chalobah, and Armando Broja, who secured exits before August 30, Fofana remains at Chelsea.
When did Fofana join Chelsea?
The Ivorian joined the Blues from Molde in January 2023 for a transfer fee in excess of €10million (£8.5m; $10.8m) but appearances were few and far between for the young forward who played four times.
Fofana spent the first half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Union Berlin, scoring twice in 17 games before joining Burnley on loan and scoring four goals in 15 appearances.
What comes next?
Although his contract at Stamford Bridge runs until June 2029, Chelsea are open to permanent and loan offers from clubs across Europe.
With Nicolas Jackson as the club's leading striker and the additions of Joao Felix and Marc Guiu, the Ivory Coast international is unlikely to have any playing time for Maresca's team.
