The Blues are reportedly close to agreeing to a deal with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr for a young player who has yet to make a competitive appearance.
Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are reportedly on the brink of signing Chelsea forward Angelo Gabriel.
When did Angelo sign for Chelsea?
The 19-year-old Brazilian joined the Blues from Santos in the summer of 2023 for £13 million but has yet to make his first-team debut, although he featured in the club's pre-season last year and this summer.
BlueCo sister club Strasbourg loaned Gabriel last season, but he failed to score in 21 Ligue 1 appearances. Previously, he notched five times in 129 appearances for Sao Paulo club Santos, having made his debut at 15.
Angelo linked to Al Nassr
According to Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr will pay a fee worth around €23m million for Gabriel, representing a reasonable profit for Chelsea on a player deemed surplus to requirements and relegated to their "bomb squad" last month.
A sale to the Saudi Pro League will see the Brazilian play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Otavio, and Aymeric Laporte, as last season’s second-placed side seek to beat Al Hilal to the league this season.
Al Nassr have targeted South American talent in the transfer market, with former West Ham target Wesley, 19, joining from Corinthians for £15 million, and goalkeeper Bento moved from Athletico Paranaense.
