Vipers forward Ibrahim Orit's move to Arua Hill Sports Club hangs in balance as the free agent seeks more playing time in the 2023/24 season.
Out of favour at Kitende, Orit was poised to join Arua Hill Sports Club on the Uganda Premier League transfer deadline day after he agreed terms with the club.
However, the move hit a snag as he was still part of the Vipers system as it clocked 11:59 pm, Thursday evening.
The forward is yet to be released by Vipers Sports Club for a possible bossman deal as a free agent.
Once released, Orit will still be eligible to register with any club. The forward joined Vipers in January 2020, when he signed a three-year contract, joining from Mbarara City.
At the time, he was a Uganda Cranes regular, featuring in all of Uganda's matches at the 2021 Africa Nations Championship, where he even managed to find the net.
However, his involvement and influence with the national team have dwindled since then, primarily due to limited playing time at the club level.
At Vipers, he won two Uganda Premier League titles and two Uganda Cups.
