Salah was on a run of 12 matches in a row with at least one goal contribution before the match against Tottenham
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah saw his incredible run of goal contributions come to an end after an error made during the Reds’ match against Tottenham.
Salah’s run ended by refereeing decision
Salah was on a run of 12 goals with a goal or assist for Liverpool in the Premier League after a stunning run of form, only bettered by his own record of 15 matches with a goal contribution in 2021.

Salah had become the first player in Premier League history to reach 12 matches with at least one goal contribution twice after his goal against West Ham but was robbed of the opportunity to extend his record further against Tottenham.
Salah had a relatively quiet game against Spurs but found a moment of inspiration when he played Luis Diaz through on goal in the first half.
Diaz converted from Salah’s pass, but the goal was ruled out for offside after a VAR check confirmed the on-field decision.
Salah denied by wrong offside call
However, the decision to rule out Diaz’ goal eventually turned out to be the wrong call, as the Colombian winger was in fact onside during the play.

PGMOL announce that officials in Liverpool's recent game against Tottenham have been stepped down from other matches this game week
Liverpool received an apology from the Premier League’s refereeing body, PGMOL who admitted a significant human error during the match against Tottenham, but the body might need to send another apology specifically to Salah.
But for the error, Salah would have had at least an assist against Tottenham, taking his tally to 13 consecutive games with goal contributions, but instead his run ends at 12, although still quite admirable.
