Top 5 Best Clubs in Kenyan Premier League History

The top five clubs in Kenyan Premier League history have helped shape the country's football legacy through their historic achievements, passionate fanbases, and consistent contributions to the growth of the sport.

Arocho, on the Radio47 show, compared Gor Mahia to Liverpool saying: "Gor Mahia like Liverpool. They will win the league not because they are good but because they don't have a competitor. You look at Kenya Police, they dropped points against City Stars and it will cost them."

The weekend results proved costly to Police and Tusker's title aspirations. The law enforcers fired blanks against tail-enders City Stars. 13-time champions Tusker on the other hand, managed a 1-1 draw against a spirited Mara Sugar side that is playing in the top tier for the first time.

Arocho, at the same time, criticised Tusker management for parting ways with experienced tactician Robert Matano. Although Arocho said his successor Charles Okere is up to the task, he maintained that he has little coaching experience to challenge for top honours in the league.

"Police are heading the standings. Tusker are second but they made a mistake to fire Robert Matano. Charles Okere is a good coach but I don't think he is ripe enough to lead a team of Tusker's stature. Okere has never been a coach in a Premier league side apart from being an assistant at Tusker FC before."

Following the weekend results, Police still top the standings with 49 points although their performance in the last five matches has been marred by inconsistency.

Coached by Burundian  Etienne Ndayiragije, Police have won twice, drawn as many matches while losing once.

Tusker have won twice and drawn thrice in their last five matches and face a monumental task to stop Gor Mahia from winning a record 22nd title, with the gap now three points between first and third.

Gor Mahia have an advantage too since they have a game in hand.
