Arsenal fans have called on the club to sell one of their star players after a recent report of heartbreaking news.

The Gunners have confirmed that Takehiro Tomiyasu will not be participating in Arsenal's preseason tour in the USA.

The defender suffered a knee injury which will rule him out for a couple of weeks and may likely miss the start of the season.

The news comes as a big blow to Arsenal who are on the verge of completing a deal for Bologna defender Ricardo Calafiori.

Fans want Tomiyasu gone

Arsenal fans are worried about the availability of Tomiyasu next season and have urged the club to sell him after picking up an injury.

Tomiyasu missed 13 games for Arsenal the previous season due to two calf problems. The 25-year-old has struggled with injuries on multiple occasions since joining from Bologna in 2021.

The Japanese international is expected to stay in London, according to the Gunners. Tomiyasu will get medical attention for his injuries as his teammates travel to the United States.

According to the Sun, the news of Tomiyasu’s injury has many fans furious; some have even demanded that Tomiyasu be sold.

The defender has a contract with Arsenal that runs through 2026 with the option of a further year extension.
