Expressing his joy and gratitude, Ssenfuma emphasized that Maroons is the ideal place for him. He stated, "This is a wonderful opportunity to challenge for more.”

Muhamed Ssenfuma has been rewarded with a new three-year contract extension at Maroons FC, keeping him at the club until 2026.

Ssenfuma’s previous contract was set to expire in June 2023, and his decision to renew is welcome news to the club after they produced captivating performances last season.

Expressing his joy and gratitude, Ssenfuma emphasized that Maroons is the ideal place for him. He stated, "This is a wonderful opportunity to challenge for more.”

“I am delighted to be staying at the club that provided me with the platform to excel for another three years."

He extended his appreciation to everyone at the club, particularly the board chairman and the CEO, for their trust and investment in him.

Ssenfuma highlighted his happiness and comfort, noting that he has everything he needs to perform his job to the best of his abilities, including the players, coaching staff, and fans.

"I can't say thank you enough to everyone at the club especially the Board Chairman and the CEO for investing enough trust me,” he exclaimed.

“I am indeed very happy and very comfortable since I have everything, I need to execute my job as best as possible ranging from the players, coaches and the fans.”

"I understand that the coming chapter of this club will be so amazing for a couple of years ahead of us because this club is so stable under the new board."

"I still have the feeling that there is so much more we can achieve together and that is why I want to stay and continue fighting for a better future here."

The Prison Warders impressed on their return to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, finishing sixth, just 12 points behind champions Vipers SC.

Maroons CEO, Roderick Muhumuza, expressed his delight at extending Ssenfuma's contract, highlighting the positive impact the head coach has had on the club.

“Ssenfuma has already contributed so much to the success of this institution having attained the highest mark in the Club's history,” said Roderick.

“It's exciting to think what might be possible given the energy and ambition that he and his team clearly still have.”

Ssenfuma's renewed commitment to Maroons FC provides a significant boost to the club as they undergo the process of squad renewal and preparations for the 2023/24 season.
