Noah Lyles has humorously reacted to a series of recent engagements involving fellow Olympic champions Ryan Crouser and Mondo Duplantis.

Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles has shared his thoughts on what seems to be a season of love within the track and field world.

Lyles, who recently announced his own engagement to Jamaican sprinter Junelle Bromfield, could not help but notice the number of recent engagements among his fellow athletes, sparking excitement on social media.

Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), Lyles reacted to the string of proposals from his Olympic peers, jokingly writing: “This is really engagement month.”

His comment came just hours after Olympic shot put champion Ryan Crouser revealed his engagement to former pole vaulter Megan Clark.

Crouser, who proposed to Clark while on a yacht in Lake Garda, Italy, shared the happy news on Instagram with the caption, "She Said Yes!!! 💍Thank you Trentino, Lake Garda will always have a special place in our hearts."

The picturesque proposal by the two-time Olympic gold medalist added to the wave of celebrations in the athletics community.

Meanwhile, pole vault star Mondo Duplantis, who holds the world record in his event and also claimed Olympic gold in Tokyo, recently announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend and Swedish influencer Desire Inglander.

Duplantis popped the question during one of Inglander’s photoshoots for Vogue Scandinavia, catching her by surprise.

He followed the proposal with a family party and shared their special moment on Instagram, captioning it, “I’m the luckiest man in the world.”

The timing of all three engagements has not gone unnoticed by fans and athletes alike, with Lyles humorously pointing out the coincidence.

Lyles himself joined the engagement club on October 13 when he proposed to Bromfield, who represented Jamaica in the 400m and 4x400m relay at the Tokyo Olympics, where she secured a bronze medal as part of Jamaica’s relay team.

Lyles and Bromfield have known each other since 2017 but only went public with their relationship in 2022.

The couple’s announcement has been met with an outpouring of congratulations from the track community adding to the joyous string of celebrations.

Fans have embraced this rare moment where love stories off the track are taking center stage.

Track and field might be about speed, strength, and soaring heights, but this October, love has been the real winner.
