PSG supporters have asked the club to shift their focus from Victor Osimhen to his Super Eagles teammate Ademola Lookman to open another transfer saga.

In an intriguing twist to Paris Saint-Germain's summer transfer saga, supporters of the French champions have taken to social media to voice their opposition to the potential signing of Napoli's Victor Osimhen, instead advocating for a move for his Nigerian compatriot, Ademola Lookman.

The Parisian club has been linked with both Super Eagles stars throughout the transfer window, with interest in Osimhen intensifying after he expressed his desire to leave Napoli.

PSG had also reportedly inquired about Lookman's availability before the UEFA Super Cup match. However, recent developments suggest the club may have cooled their interest in both players.

The fans' reactions were sparked by comments made in a RMCSports video, which stated:

"I hear Lookman, I said very quickly that he will not come, he will not come. If Osimhen comes by August 31st, it will mean because of very important people who must make decisions, it means that this club does not function as it should function. It wouldn't be Luis Ocampos' choice and not Luis Enrique's either, perhaps even less Enrique's."

This commentary prompted a flurry of responses from PSG supporters on social media platforms. One fan emphasised, "If Osimhen were to go to PSG it would not be because Enrique wants him," highlighting concerns about the club's transfer strategy aligning with the manager's vision.

Other fans were more direct in their opposition to Osimhen's potential arrival. "We don't need him in Paris," declared one supporter, while another pointed to the team's strong start to the season, stating, "The team is doing well early in the season, not sure it's necessary to buy him."

Indeed, PSG's impressive goal-scoring form after putting six goals past Montpellier on Friday night was a recurring theme in fans' comments. "Why Osimhen? We are 10 goals in two games already," noted one fan, questioning the necessity of a high-profile striker signing.

The supporters' reactions reflect a growing sentiment that PSG should focus on strengthening other areas of the squad or maintain faith in their current attacking options.

This stance marks a significant shift from earlier in the summer when Osimhen was viewed as a prime target for the club.

The club's apparent indecision over both Osimhen and Lookman suggests that their transfer strategy may still be in flux, leaving room for further twists in this ongoing saga.
