Figo, an icon for Portugal, and Real Madrid, believes his country Portugal have what it takes to win EURO 2024.
Figo was speaking ahead of Portugal's tournament opener against Czech Republic on Tuesday evening.

“Portugal has a strong team, with a good balance between very experienced players and the younger players just starting to establish themselves on an international level,” Figo said via The Mirror.

“Like the World Cup, it will come down to small moments, so it is always difficult to predict, but Portugal are one of five or six teams that can win it.
"Am I very confident they can win it, why not? I’m really excited to see how far they can go.”
Head coach Roberto Martinez has a star-studded squad at his disposal, including names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and Rafael Leao.
Anything other than an appearance in the final will be a disappointment for the 2016 champions.
