Manchester United were held to a disappointing draw by Dutch side FC Twente, leaving manager Erik ten Hag not impressed.

Manchester United were held to yet another draw in the Europa League league phase by Twente on Wednesday after a domestic 0-0 draw over the weekend at the hands of Crystal Palace.

Manchester United had lined up their strongest team but they failed to impress and hold on to the lead they had earlier on in the match.

Cristian Eriksen proved to still have his shooting boots despite the new wave of trusting young players being established by Manchester United's owners.

Half an hour later, Twente equalised, Sam Lammers and doing the honours for his team by putting the dagger through Manchester United's heart.

Speaking after the game, Cristian Eriksen said that he saw that the Twente players wanted it more and that is how they lost the lead and eventually two points.

Manager Erik Ten Hah agreed with the midfielder's sentiments, explaining how they were outplayed in the middle of the pitch by the opposition's fullbacks.

When questioned on whether Cristian Eriksen's claim of 'not wanting it more' was true, Erik Ten Hag said," Yes, you saw it, it was the game of their lives, they fought for every yard and we didn't and 99% is not enough. You have to finish the game you have to kill off the game."

Erik Ten hag called out his team, saying they had enough players at the front line who are able to score goals.

"Across the front line we have enough players who can score goals. We have Bruno, we have Rashi [Rashford], we have Garnacho we have Amad Diallo all goal scoring players."

Manchester United failed to take their chances despite having 19 attempts at goal only five of which were able to find the target.

Manchester fans have been left frustrated heading into another big match on Sunday against Tottenham.
