Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano believes that Wazito can still survive relegation this season despite their struggles for form in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

Speaking before their 2-0 win over the Muhoroni-based outfit, Matano was in awe of his side’s physical experience.

“Wazito are a very physical and good team. They have good and experienced players and are a determined team,” he said.

That proved to be the case, because although the brewers scored two first-half goals against Charles Odera’s side on Wednesday, Wazito still pulled off a spirited performance which will boost their confidence heading into the last stretch of league fixtures.

Matano feels sympathy for the side, saying their results do not reflect their performances, which has unfortunately affected their confidence.

"The way they're playing, they can still survive. What they are lacking is results which will come. It affects their confidence and it makes them fragile mentally," said Matano.

"If they can strengthen themselves mentally, they can survive. They have very experienced players. They are also being affected by fatigue because they are traveling all the time. All they just need is a win and it will boost their confidence.”
