Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has sent a strong message to suitors for Scott McTominay that the club want to keep the talent.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in multiple transfer windows. He came close to an exit last summer but the club managed to hold on to him. However, after a commendable season for club and country, the suitors have come knocking once again.

What Ten Hag said
Speaking in an interview, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag confirmed the spate of interest in the Scottish box-to-box midfielder.
The Dutch tactician understands why the interest in the midfielder is high, but stressed that McTominay is a talent they would like to keep at the club.
“If you score 10 goals in a season and perform very well for Scotland there will be interest,” Ten Hag said. “We want to actually keep him because he's a very important player for us. We've seen what he can contribute last season.”
McTominay’s remarkable season
The Scotsman broke out in the 17/18 season under Jose Mourinho, amidst a troubling spell at the club. The club's fortunes have not turned around since; hence, McTominay has always been associated with this dark era.
Still, he has proven a bright spark in instances, with his penchant for goals, crucial or minor.
That goal-scoring trait of his shone last season, as he scored seven goals in the Premier League. Only Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund scored more for the Red Devils.
More importantly, however, were his goals for Scotland. McTominay scored a whopping seven goals in qualifying to ensure Scotland made Euro 2024. He also scored once in the group stage before their ill-fated exit.
