Erik ten Hag will reportedly remain as Manchester United manager next season, and could even stay beyond with contract talks said to be imminent.
Manchester United have reportedly decided against firing manager Erik ten Hag, and will instead begin talks over a possible contract renewal.
The Red Devils were rumoured to be determined to sack the Dutch manager ahead of the FA Cup final and even began talks with possible replacements. However, his triumph over Manchester City impacted the deliberations in the post-season review and they have now decided to retain him, according to reports.

Ten Hag to stay
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported tonight that the Manchester United leadership has decided to continue with Ten Hag following a lengthy review of the 2023/24 season.
Per the report, the board held talks with the former Utrecht manager today and communicated with him that he would keep his job.
Ten Hag signed a three-year deal when he joined the club in the summer of 2022, and after a disappointing campaign in which he led the Red Devils to their worst finish in Premier League history, he risked not entering the final year of his contract.
As Pulse Sports' reported, the Red Devil's leadership contemplated his sack and even held discussions with likely replacement—most recently, ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, who turned down the advancement.
However, they are now said to have decided to stick with the Dutch, who managed to finish the season on a high, beating “noisy neighbours” Manchester City to FA Cup glory.
