Should Manchester United take Cristiano Ronaldo's advice if Ten Hag gets sacked?
Cristiano Ronaldo has made a shocking thought on who should take over as new Man United manager if the club decides to part ways with Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag's struggles
Manchester United leadership discussed firing Ten Hag last season after the Dutch manager led them to their worst league finish in Premier League history.
However, he managed to stave the sack by beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final. This not only helped him keep his job, but he also got renewed backing from INEOS.
However, he has yet to repay that faith, as Manchester United's start to the season has been underwhelming, having won only two of five league games, drawing two, and failing to beat Twente in the Europa League. Hence, the criticisms of his managerial abilities are starting to regather.
What Postecoglou said
The Tottenham boss is another one who is starting to lose goodwill, as Spurs have not had a desired start to the league campaign, having already lost twice and drawn once.
The Lilywhites play Manchester United this weekend, and ahead of the clash, he expressed his opinions on Ten Hag.
"I think Erik's in a really tough job and he's done really well,” he told reporters. “He keeps mentioning he's won two trophies and that's not insignificant, everyone keeps telling me that's all I have to do, but it's not all you have to do, because when you do that there's always more. He's done a great job, a difficult job."
