A day before, on the invitation of Haji Arafat, the club Vice President, we visited Avic town, Young Africans' training base located in Kigamboni Dar-es-Salaam, to interview Uganda Cranes assistant captain Khalid Aucho and the Young Africans president Engineer Hersi Said.
Khalid Aucho’s charges will now have a whole week to prepare for their first leg tie when they host USM Algiers on March 28th at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium.
They will then make the trip to Algiers for the return leg four days later.
‘Tiimu ya Wanainchi’ also reached the final of the domestic cup, where they will face Azam FC on May 16th in Tanga.
Young Africans became the first East African club to reach the CAF Confederations Cup final since the interclub format was changed in 1997.
